RVD Likely To Be DLC
Unlike with real sports, wrestling stars debut anytime of the year. This obviously makes it hard for the game developers to fit every wrestler in each game every year. Rob Van Dam (RVD) is set to come back to the WWE at the Money in the Bank PPV. It is way too late for Yuke’s to add him in to WWE 2K14 when it comes out October 29th. It is highly likely he will be added in later as paid DLC. The same things holds true for any other new wrestlers like the Wyatt Family and others.
More Legends
With the addition of “Macho Man” Randy Savage this year, this could mean that more legends will be added to WWE 2K14. WWE ’13 had a lot of “Attitude Era” stars in them because that was the theme for the game. WWE 2K14 might be branching off from this era and will include more legends from the past.
It has been rumored that Bruno Sammartino reached a deal that would allow him to appear in the game. Sammartino has never been in a WWE related video game, so it would make sense of him to make his glorious debut here in this game.
Another legend in the game is The Ultimate Warrior. WWE magazine showed an advertisement announcing he is a pre-order bonus in WWE 2K14. Since the tagline for the game is “Become Immortal”, it’s highly likely other “older” legends will be in the game too.
Concluding Statement
Hopefully in the coming months, 2K Games will announce more modes that will be in the game plus other new official details. Since this is still a current-gen release, don’t expect too many drastic changes. Changes should come when a new game engine is created next year. If you think WWE 2K14 is looking too much like WWE ’13, you might be better off waiting for WWE 2K15 instead.
WWE 2K14 will be released October 29th in North America and November 1st in Europe only for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
