While most of the gaming world would have played the Mortal Kombat reboot back in 2011, Australia missed out on the game as it was banned. Now that the R18+ rating has come into effect, the game might arrive after all.
Warner Bros. is currently planning to submit Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition up for classification. If successful, the game will finally be released in Australia with the “new” R18+ rating that came into effect in 2013.
Warner Bros. tried to submit the game twice for classification in Australia but was unsuccessful on both accounts. Let’s hope this is third time lucky so Australian gamers can now play a game that the rest of us played two years ago already…
