Dragon’s Dogma Receiving “Easy Mode” Patch

Do you find Dragon’s Dogma’s difficulty to be too punishing? Capcom is planning to make the journey a fair bit easier with a patch that will add an “easy mode” option that can be selected at any point during the game. However, there is one restriction at the moment.

The “Easy” patch is only planned for Japan (for now) and will release on August 6th. Although there are no announcements regarding a release in other territories, it’s safe to assume that the patch will make it around the world in the near future.

Coming from a Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls player, I have no issue with Dragon’s Dogma’s difficulty. I can understand that there are those who may want to experience Capcom’s critically acclaimed RPG without having to adjust to a higher difficulty than they are used to. The patch should definitely open the game to a wider audience and, hopefully, even more people give it a chance.

  1. This game is only hard for the first few hours. Why in the world wouldn’t they have added a hard mode?
