Starting on May 15th the multiplayer for Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter will be going free-to-play. No information was given if Croteam, the developer behind the game plans to add any micro-transactions.
What we know so far comes from Shack News who also says that this new model will launch with both versus and survivor multiplayer modes. These modes include Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Instant Kill, Last Man Standing, My Burden, Survival, and Team Survival.
Serious Sam HD will also be getting another dose of downloadable content, which will be arriving on May 15th as well. This new content pack is being called Legend of the Beast and it will contain three campaign missions, three survival mode maps, and three versus mode maps, and costs $4.99.
