Dragon’s Dogma Guide – How to Get Rift Crystals

The Rift Crystals in Dragon’s Dogma play a vital role when it comes to recruiting Pawns from the rift world. Aside from the Rift Crystals that you get for other people using your pawn, there’s actually more ways to get them.

When in the Rift World, you will see many pawns that you can recruit. If you hire a Pawn that is around your level or close to yours at least, you’ll most likely not pay any Rift Crystals, but then they wouldn’t be advantageous. Since there’s no limit as to what pawn level you can recruit, you can snag a level 50 Pawn even if you’re at level 10, but you can expect to spend around the 30K Rift Crystal range.

Here are some of the ways you can farm or obtain Rift Crystals.

RIFT CRYSTALS

Buy Them
If you have real money to spend, you can buy 2000 Rift Crystals for 80 Microsoft Points or $.99 on the PlayStation Network.

Do Quests
Every completed quest will award the player with Rift Crystals. While it’s not as many as you would expect, it’s enough to help the number grow to the higher points.

Let Others Use Your Pawn
If you are connected to Xbox Live or PlayStation Network, then the Pawns that you customized will be available for everyone to use. Every time you sleep at the Inn, you upload the latest stats of your Pawn. If someone uses your pawn, you’ll get Rift Crystals. Out of the three methods that you can use to earn Rift Crystals, having someone use your Pawn is the best and most effective way when it comes to getting a lot of crystals. It’s important to make your Pawn stand out from the rest so that other people will only will use yours, ensuring that you get Rift points.

  1. It is a pitty that they left this part out of the single player fix… They made it almost ok for those that do not have xbox live / ps network, even to point of having a pawn hired by no1 mechanic, but it gives just as much as a tiny drop if your lucky (aka siltch-~150)
and seeing as how the main thing people love and wanted to do a lot costs 5k (change you and your pawn’s looks especily for those like I that wanted to take advantage of it and make it seem like you and or your pawn were aging)
Not to mention the other rare neat things you would expect to easily get toward end game or something that cost 20000 or more.
o wells they already promised to never pull the dlc crap again else they fire and black list those that do so, and did put forth effort at least in helping those that did not have internet more than other companies.

  2. Sadly, the online pawn system doesn’t always work for everyone. No one uses mine which blows butt so i get 0 benefit from the better way to getting it. So like what’s the point? they should allow you to get way more crystals killing enemies than they do. :(
