After a lot of hinting, the returning item turned out to be the 3DS Game Card Case. While not as nice as earlier offerings, the fairly priced case allows you to hold 18 cards and comes with 8 different designs.
If you would like to get your own case, you can find it here for the price of 250 coins. However, make sure to get one as they quickly went out of stock before.
