Cevat Yerli stated on Twitter to fans of Crysis that Crysis 3 is a spiritual successor to the original Crysis. Fans on Twitter asked him if the third entry would bring back the vast open environments that players got to explore in the first title. The answer was not a straight forward “yes” but he did state: “Crysis3 will be more a spiritual successor in gameplay to Crysis 1 instead of Crysis 2.”
This could mean that the game will have more exploration options and will give the players a wide variety of different ways to handle their objectives. Hopefully the game will reflect the first entry in some way because Crysis 2 was somewhat of a letdown.
