Sony announced earlier today that they would be selling new photo editing software this week for the Playstation 3 and that it would support Cloud photo service. Dubbed “PlayMemories Studios,” the software will allow the user to edit photos and video that they download from the cameras or camcorders. The files that are stored on the PLaystation 3 system can then be transferred to either the Via or the PSP.
The software will be able to link to the upcoming “PlayMemories Online” cloud service, which will be launched within the next few months according to Sony. The software goes on sale tomorrow in the US and will be available for $18 when the store updates. Users will also be able to download a free 30-day trial for the service and purchasers of a new Sony camera will get the software for free.
