BioWare has just posted an important new update about Diablo III. To speed up the release of the game, Diablo III won’t have the PvP arena mode when it comes out.
Diablo III’s Game Director says:
“As we’re counting down the days until we’re ready to announce a release date for Diablo III, we’ve come to realize that the PvP game and systems aren’t yet living up to our standards. Today, we wanted to let you know that we’ve made the difficult decision to hold back the PvP Arena system and release it in a patch following the game’s launch.”
BioWare decided not to torture hardcore Diablo III fans by delaying the game as a result of this and will be releasing the game for those who just want to enjoy the “campaign and core solo/co-op content”
BioWare has yet to still make an official announcement on when Diablo III will be released. Since PvP won’t be added to the game until a later date with a patch, let’s hope the game arrives later this year instead of next year…
