The PlayStation 3 celebrated its fifth birthday a few months ago in North America and Japan but it now celebrates its fifth birthday in Europe.
The PS3 was launched back on March 2007 in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. This was four months after gamers in North America and Japan although it let us save up for the (then) expensive console.
During that time, over 60 million PS3 consoles have been sold worldwide. One has to wonder if the PS3 can last as long as the PS2 console which is still selling units despite releasing back in the year 2000.
