During the Activision-Blizzard investors’ conference call earlier, Blizzard has revealed a possible release window for Diablo III.
A specific release date for the game was sadly not named as of yet but Blizzard are looking to for a “Q2” release. This means that the game could be released within the months of April or June if things go according to plan. There was a rumor a few weeks ago that the game would be out in February!
“We want Diablo III to be the best game it can be when it launches,” said director Jay Wilson in January. “To get there, we’re going to be iterating on designs we’ve had in place for a long time, making changes to systems you’ve spent a lot of time theorycrafting, and removing features you may have come to associate with the core of the experience. Our hope is that by embracing our iterative design process in which we question ourselves and our decisions, Diablo III won’t just live up to our expectations, but will continue to do so a decade after it’s released.”
Diablo II was out in the year 2000. Hardcore Diablo fans have been waiting 12 years to get their hands on this PC exclusive sequel. Let’s hope the long wait will be worth it!
