Bioware have said that after you’re done finishing the fight in this March’s Mass Effect 3 you might want to keep hold of the save data. Why? It’s a mystery!
Sort of.
Mike Gamble, executive producer on Mass Effect 3, was recently asked by Gamerziner about the possibility of using completed Mass Effect 3 save data in future games. “It wouldn’t be a bad idea,” Gamble replied coyly. “Obviously I can’t say anything, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea.”
We already know that Bioware are keen to develop the Mass Effect universe past the point where Shepard’s story ends. Presumably the galaxy moulding consequences that you make over the course of the trilogy would have an effect on the particulars of any future titles set in the Mass Effect universe. One things for sure, even if ME3 sees an end to the adventures of Commander Shepard, we’ll be seeing more of Mass Effect.
Mass Effect 3 drops March 9th on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
