Starhawk senior producer Harvard Bonin has hinted at plans that include a plethora of free downloadable content for their upcoming online shooter. He even went so far as to say that fans will find some of it “surprising.” Hopefully we can expect entire map packs or new vehicles and weapons.
“Actually, I can’t go into specifics, but we do have a bunch of free DLC planned,” he stated in an interview recently, adding at the end “and it might be surprising.” He also stated that there would be a fair share of paid DLC to go along with it. “We, of course, have stuff we are happy to take your money for, too,” said Bonin. He concluded the interview by stating “We rethought our DLC strategy and we’ll reveal more about it as we get closer to release.”
Starhawk recently finished up it’s closed beta and is quickly approaching the open beta stage as we draw closer to release. Starhawk will be released exclusively for the Playstation 3 around summer 2012.
