The first week sales figures for WWE ’12 in North America have been revealed and it’s an improvement over the sales accumulated for WWE Smackdown vs. RAW 2011 during its first week on sale.
WWE ’12 managed to sell over 350,000 copies in North America whereas WWE Smackdown vs. RAW 2011 only sold 224,532 copies last year. Both games were not released during the same time period as WWE ’12 was released in the last week of November while last year’s game was released in the last week of October.
Arguably, WWE ’12 faced much stiffer competition since Modern Warfare 3, Skyrim, Battlefield 3 and Uncharted 3 have all topped the charts this year with record breaking sales. This is quite an achievement and it all comes down to the improved gameplay and more star studded roster.
