The news just keeps rolling in about the new Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3. In addition to the new Heroes and Heralds mode, UMvC3 for the PS3 is getting a even cooler feature: the ability to use the PS Vita as a controller.
The image above is what will display on the PS Vita when it has been synced to consumer’s PS3. The four different corners of the screen act as programmable buttons in which special moves can be assigned to on the Vita’s touch screen. Gamers will also be able to view replays, share videos online, display button presses and show character’s hit boxes on the Vita screen.
With Vita having this level of cross platform functionality on launch, it only proves that Sony is encouraging developers to push the limits of what the Vita can do and may become a major selling point if Sony advertising things like this properly. Sony has a very powerful machine in their hands, let’s just see if they know what to do with it.
