Ever since the first trailer hit, GTA V has received nonstop press regarding speculation and leaked information. Of the two, the latter revealed that Rockstar couldn’t work out a deal with Tommy Vercetti’s original voice actor, Ray Liotta.
So, if the character in the trailer really is Tommy Vercetti, then who’s voicing him this time around? Official Playstation Magazine UK did some digging in order to answer this important question. What they found has led them to believe that Hollywood actor Ned Luke is the new talent.
Not only does this man sound like Tommy, he even looks like his older counterpart in GTA V. This could all be a coincidence, but the evidence is starting to pile up in his favor.

November 12, 2011 at 1:09 PMThis is just absolute rubbish. The main character is not Tommy. He doesn’t exist in the new era GTA games. Just because an actor looks like a character…silly people. The character isn’t even the protagonist.

November 12, 2011 at 8:20 PMJR, seeing as there is no information whatsoever about this, that Rockstar have officially released, there is no guarantee whether he is or isn’t the protagonist. This is merely speculation, which to be honest, could turn out to be true.

November 12, 2011 at 9:41 PMvercetti aint the main character because gta v is a different universe to gta 3 san andreas and vice city and gta iv for that matter so it cant be him

November 12, 2011 at 11:21 PMIt would be nice to see Rockstar bring back the craziness that made GTA:SA so awesome. Like the flying car cheat, the jetpack, no wanted level cheat. Basically all the cheats and fun things of SA, that would be awesome.

November 13, 2011 at 12:39 PMIt would be cool, but I highly doubt it will be Vercetti. He’d be in his 60’s or so around 2012, so it could work. I just don’t see it happening without Liotta’s distinctive voice. Those that say it sounds like Liotta just think that because they hope it’s Vercetti. It really doesn’t sound anything like Liotta if you listen to it objectively. Either way, the game should be great. I just hope they go back to the way the cars and motorcycles handled in the older games. GTA4’s vehicles handle horribly.
