PlayStation Vita’s UMD Passport Detailed, Transfer your PSP UMD Games for a Price

Sony revealed this week the details as to how you can transfer your PSP UMD games to the PlayStation Vita. Is it free? Absolutely not!

The UMD Passport is a program revealed by Sony that allows you to download the PSP games straight to your PlayStation Vita. There’s no need to have a device to transfer your UMD games as it will all be done on the PlayStation Network. By simply downloading the registration form on the PlayStation Store, players will have to put some kind of serial number of the UMD to download the game and pay from $7 to $13.

As for the PSP save files, you can transfer it using the PlayStation 3 and PC. Please note that there are only certain PSP games that can be transfered, more likely the ones that are now on the PlayStation Store.

Expect more details on this in the coming months.
