Patch 1.2 was just released for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which has resolved many issues including the texture glitch. But now it seems that there are new glitches that were not there before the patch hit.
Gamers have flocked to the official forums with claims of game crashing freezes, backwards flying dragons (see the video below), and most notably resistances have become completely ineffective. Gamers are stating that they are receiving full damage with resistances active.

December 1, 2011 at 5:08 AMThe game freezes on launch for me. Can’t play the game because the menu will not appear at all. However, the Logo, the black background and the smoke will appear and be animated but the menu will not load.

December 1, 2011 at 7:40 AMAfter this patch, the issue of textures disappearing have gotten much worse, and while I can get in game, it crashes just like it did before, except much sooner. @Allen, If you have any mods whatsoever installed, you’ll get that issue. I had the same problem, but unchecking my mods fixed it.
