Recently we reported that EA is back to their old antics, and it seems that blood is in the water folks. EA and DICE have begin banning hundreds of players after being caught cheating in Battlefield 3.
“This week we’ve banned hundreds of offending accounts and have stats-wiped accounts for exploiting (such as boosting)…” DICE said on Twitter.
Apparently, the stat wipes are connected to an exploit that was allowing gamers to gain XP points in the thousands with little to no at all.
“To report players cheating or boosting send us a direct message to this Twitter with a screen shot of the Battle Log Report,” the developer asks.
While we don’t condone cheating on any level here at Just Push Start, it does seem a bit harsh to completely wipe gamer stats. We all know some one who has been wrongly accused of cheating, and the fact that EA and DICE are not contacting these gamers in one way or another, but instead or simply dropping the Ban Hammer on gamers seems a bit harsh. What do you guys think?

November 15, 2011 at 9:23 AMDon’t cheat if you want your stuff. Quite simple really. If you aren’t good enough at the game to have high stats without boosting or cheating, then don’t play the game. Call of Duty won’t punish cheaters, go play there! ^_~
