Earlier this week, Alan Kertz posted a Twitter message that said they were tweaking the semi-automatic guns in Battlefield 3 to fire more like the guns from Bad Company 2. The full message read:
“Working with a coder today to make Semiautomatic weapons fire smoother (like it was in BC2). Still some work to be done, hopefully soon.”
This confused a number of fans who didn’t know what this meant for the game. I guess some of them were led to believe that damage was getting another tweak rather than understanding that it was just how they fired. A follow up tweet from Kertz read:
“The damage will not change, the way they fire will improve so they dont’ ‘jam’ between shots.”
Hopefully this clears up any confusion you readers might have had over the subject. I am glad to hear that the weapons won’t be recieving any damage tweaks in the near future because that tends to cause issues with the fans.
