Valve recently Tweeted that the closed beta for CS:GO will start at the end of the month. They followed up with another Tweet stating the importance of getting current Counter Strike players into the beta at the end of the month, but there isn’t an “eta on when” just yet.
Hopefully there will be an open beta to follow shortly after the closed beta. Some of us don’t exactly have a PC to play it on anymore so we can only hope that they will release something to ease our appetite on consoles. Counter Strike: Global Offensive is currently looking at an early 2012 release date on the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
