Ever since the great Playstation attack a few months back, many PS3 owners no longer felt secure having their credit card information stored on their PS3’s. One option that many of us took to, was to simply buy our digital content from Amazon.com
Now it seems, this option may no longer be available. Chris K over on PSN Stores noticed that not only is Amazon no longer stocking PSN point cards, but all of the previous-existing PSN content that was up on Amazon has now been pulled. Regarding the pull of PSN content Amazon had this to say: “We have no announcements regarding this change in selection, however we can confirm that Amazon Digital Video Game Downloads is not currently offering Playstation Network Online Game Codes and Points Cards.”
So far, Sony has not given any official announcements about what has happened to the PSN content on Amazon but hopefully they will make a statement soon. We will keep you posted as these events unfold.
