Fans of the Valkyria Chronicles series will be heart broken to know that Valkyria Chronicles III: Unrecorded Chronicles will not hit North American and European shores.
As reported over at Gamespot, the site interviewed Sega’s team manager of console sales, Hiroshi Seno where he revealed the sad news of not localizing the game to western countries. The main reason for this is that the PSP is not a popular enough platform right now in both North America and Europe.
The other main reason is that Valkyria Chronicles II didn’t sell in those territories either to justify the localization costs. Let’s hope the company finds a way to make it downloadable for the PS Vita.
Until then, fans will have to import a copy from Japan instead. The only downside to this for some gamers is that all the text and dialogue will be in Japanese…
