Over the weekend it was revealed by the Battlefield 3 Blog that the beta had been hacked to allow players to play different game modes with support for up to 128 players. The Battlefield 3 beta currently features support for a maximum of up to 32 players in Rush mode on the Operation Metro map.
Dice has said that they have “tested out Operation Metro on conquest with 64 and 128 players, and can confirm their existence, albeit, the 128 player server lagged considerably.”
If you decide to play on these maps you can risk you’re account being banned as Dice has said that playing on the hacked servers “can cause your account to become compromised, stats to be altered or other issues to arise which may lead to having your account to be banned by EA.” In addition, horrifyingly, “if your account does get banned it means any other EA game you have on your account would also be unavailable.”
So not only will you risk you’re account being banned, but also any games that you have on that account will become unavailable for you to play. It is good to hear that at least dice has tested with 64 and 128 players and maybe we can expect that in the full game or in an update.

October 3, 2011 at 1:24 PM128 players in Op Metro? INSANE. Its such a small map and the rail tunnel is such a major choke point even with just 24 players.. 128 would be madness.
I do hope DICE / EA adds a LOT more polish to the game, as this beta plays more like an early alpha.

October 3, 2011 at 3:08 PMIf stats are being reset anyway, why would this be bannable?
Also if this IS a test, wouldn’t they want to be able to patch stuff like this? So it’s a good thing these exploit servers get managed now.
EA should seriously consider eating shit and chocking on their mother’s cock.

October 3, 2011 at 4:06 PMWell, I saw one of the 128 player servers on my list Saturday and I tried to join it.
How the hell would I have known it was a hacked server? I’m pretty close to canceling my pre-order as it is also clear that there are already aimbots available for BF3. The game is going to be ‘compromised’ before it even launches.
They, EA, need to make a stronger anti-cheat effort.
EA does need to eat a bowl of dicks.

October 3, 2011 at 4:41 PMmaybe expect 64 slot in the full game or an update, so they can’t even get their shit together to finish the game in time, wtf, 64 slot should deffo be available in the full release, seriously if i hadn’t already paid for the game i would not buy it after playing that shit heap of a beta, just the same cocksuckers as Activision, can’t even make a safe game for us to play or get it finished for the full release.

October 3, 2011 at 8:47 PMYes the Beta is definitly being hacked! I have seen people spawn off of dead soldiers, shoot me from across the map with a shotgun as I was behind and below a big boulder, and so were they, as I was spawning. Invisible people shoot you from inside the walls. There were already generals playing withing 6-8 hours of release. Sniper does not work, you can hit them from afar, but that is it. Many, many, many hacks happening. Why do they need to cheat? Are they that bad of players? This is a game for ‘enjoyment’ (ha – lol). If this is an indicator of the game when it is released, I and many others will NOT purchase it. Especially if this Origin crap has to run to play it. signed very disappointed.

November 18, 2011 at 2:17 PMWell it’s been out for almost a month and yes it’s even got hackers and glitch killers in it.. but look at the alternative.. MW3? after the nighmare with black ops being put out and not finished even to this day is still buggy shit, I would rather get kicked in the junk with golf shoes than play any of the COD series. It’s the same game over and over. And look at punkbuster and Valve anti cheat.. they do no good what so ever. It’s thease guys that make the hacks and sell them who wreck our games. Hope when they are standing at the perly gates that someone shoots them from across the universe with a 9mm :)
