The HD update to the PSP lab-based puzzler, Mercury Meltdown launches today on PSN and XBLA. The HD update, hilariously called Mercury Hg boasts “60 new, vibrant, and expertly crafted levels” and promises to “expand the ambience and creativity that marked Mercury as an original title coming at a great price point to offer superb value.” In the Mercury games, players are tasked with getting the viscous blob of metal from A to B via C, with C representing a plethora of challenging yet fun obstacles.
Well, Mercury Hg certainly launches at an attractive price point, so if you were a fan of any of the previous iterations, fancy yourself some Marbell Madness-esque gaming, or just really love that clean, science-lab aesthetic the series is rocking, Mercury Hg might well be up your alley.
Grab Mercury Hg on PlayStation®Network for £3.99 / EU – 4.99 / Australia_NZ – 8.45 / USA – $4.99 if you prefer the sixaxis controls, or alternatively pick it up on Xbox Live Arcade for 400 Microsoft Points if twin sticks is more your thing.
