Blizzard has never been one to be afraid of something new. They took one of the greatest RTS games of all time and turned into money. I mean an MMORPG. They have auction houses with real, green money in them!
But it’s sure to become a bit of a controversy among PC purists that Blizzard is going to be trying out a control pad scheme for Diablo III.
“…we feel that the controls and the style of the game lend itself to a console.” says Diablo III’s game director. “…I’ve been ‘Oh this feels even better, with direct control…’”
It is also been stated that this control scheme may not, and probably will not, see Diablo III’s initial release.
