Notch has today revealed that Minecraft Beta 1.8 is not yet ready despite being shown off at PAX and Notch himself mentioning it will be released “soon”.
The creator of Minecraft commented on Twitter that “1.8 is not done, we need to tweak a few things based off feedback at PAX”. Most likely with many players testing out 1.8, a few bugs and glitches were discovered but also improvements to ideas presented in the early showing of 1.8.
What would you change from what you have seen of Minecraft Beta 1.8? Comment below.

August 30, 2011 at 4:56 PMI would do what it takes to add mo creatures into the official release. I really like mo creatures and I think the official build needs more mobs friendly and enemy.

August 31, 2011 at 6:12 AMI’m quite looking forward to the generated villages. But from the looks of the screen shots i’ve seen, the houses look terrible. I think i’ll be sticking to mods

August 31, 2011 at 9:39 AMI like the idea of Enderman, and i think people should respect them as fellow builders. I think that you should respect them and fear them.

September 1, 2011 at 6:24 PMi think they should get inspiration from the yogbox.
it seems to be a stable pack of amazing mods that just make the game better.
not necessarily copy it but get ideas from it at least.

September 1, 2011 at 11:28 PMI think there are a few mods out there that I really would like to see incorporated. The airplane mod is just awesome. Also, there are a few tnt mods that do different things that would be fun

September 2, 2011 at 11:02 AMthe adventure update is a great idea and i just cant wait to the huge oceans/rain forests and deserts etc.. i think it will unlock a whole new way of ground building AND under more under water builds! finally big and open oceans for people to make huge structures! because on 1.7.3 the ground is usually not deep and this time it might! also im very glad about the new mobs! can’t wait to see them and find ways to defend from and find ways to kill them as well! im happy with everything now except for the big mushrooms, i hate them :3 Go Notch!

September 10, 2011 at 1:56 PMI think personly that it isnt great but a notch said it still needs a few tweeks. Like no NPC in the villiges (Should it be like that?) my charaters hand flickers black. Also Ruins, Eldermen (not sure if that the right name!!!) and viliges dont spawn so much. But on a positive not the tarrain is a lot better and cooler as are the bioms now, lighting is relly nice and well put it this way theres more good things than bad. Carnt wait for the finished product it looks fab!!!
