EA Sports has announced that Grand Slam Tennis 2 will be smashing its way onto the PS3 and Xbox 360 next year.
This is the first time the series will be going HD. The previous game was a gimmicky approach to make use of the Nintendo Wii’s motion controller. This time, it will be a more realistic approach with all the Grand Slams featured this time around.
Much like Top Spin 4, the game will have a mix of past and present players. The game will also support the PS3’s PlayStation move controller but not Kinect from the looks of things.
“We are very excited to bring the EA SPORTS Grand Slam Tennis franchise to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms and leverage the graphical power of these high definition consoles,” said Line Producer Thomas Singleton. “Players will now get to experience the excitement and drama of serving it up on prestigious tennis venues such as Wimbledon’s famed Centre Court.”
