Although the PSVita has yet to have a release date, analysts in Japan predict the device could sell 2.5 million units by March 2012.
As reported by Andriasang, SMBC Nikko Securities analyst Kazuharu Miura shared his predictions for the device at Bloomberg Japan.
He says the device has the potential to sell 2.5 million by the end of March 2012, and software sales for the PSVita to be at 7 million during the same period.
These are some pretty bold predictions, considering the PSVita doesn’t even have a release date. Sony will announce the release date for the PSVita at this year’s Tokyo Games Show.
It’s expected to be released in Japan first with an early 2012 release for North America and Europe.
