It looks like another major gaming company is pushing for digital distribution as Electronic Arts has unveiled Origin.
Origin is EA’s version of Steam and is a revamped version of the EA store. There are already 150 titles available for you to purchase and download. Obviously, all the games available are EA published titles.
Origin is used to purchase and download PC version of EA titles only – much like Steam. Prices are the same as if you bought them at a retail store.
Users have the option to pre-order upcoming EA titles using Origin such as Battlefield 3 just to name a few.
Origin is available to use now on the PC and on certain mobile devices.
