As I’m sure all you ps3 owners are more than aware of the issues concerning the PSN at this moment of time. Sony has received nothing but bad attention from the media for last few days during the down time: though I myself am slightly disappointed due to the release of Portal 2, Sony are seemingly working around the clock to fix the situation and rebuild the network.
Though this should have never happened we all have to remember that Sony does deliver us this service for free with many benefits. It didn’t happen at the best time whilst most have holiday at this time of the year.
I do however think that Sony should release a new feature or a free game, as a small sorry for the inconvenience it’s caused; even if it is only available to PlayStation Plus subscribers. What would be nice is a free week of PlayStation Plus for everyone; this will allow people to play a few games for free, as well as trial a full game. Sony needs to try and win back the hearts of some their customers, who have switched to Xbox. As for myself, I stay loyal to Sony, I just hope they fix the network soon before the fan base takes a major hit.
What would you like to see Sony do to make up for the lost days or do you think providing a secure online service free will be enough? Comment below.

April 27, 2011 at 11:21 PMNow if only game devs could be held to a higher standard (like the console companies who are apparently expected to avert problems altogether & placate greedy leeches) to produce games worthy of being published. My main concern in relation to video games these days isn’t a temporary network outage, but the arrogance & greed of the companies producing games for the consoles. Examples include- the bug ridden releases (Fallout 3 & New Vegas), day 1 DLC bs (Dragon Age 1 & 2), & shoddy anticheating measures or a complete lack of anticheating measures in online multiplayer (pick a FPS- CoD, MAG etc). These trends don’t make for a brighter future for gamers as a whole. Imo these issues should be what gamers need to be worried about & abundantly clear about not tolerating, not a network bump in the road.
