Portal 2 will be the first game that requires PlayStation 3 users to have the latest firmware to play.
To play Valve’s upcoming first person puzzle title PlayStation 3 owners will have to update their console to the 3.60 firmware. This causes a bit of problems for homebrew users as there isn’t a 3.60 custom firmware out meaning they will be unable to play Portal 2.
Is this a good move by Valve and Sony to stop the homebrewing or is it due to the Steam features that the PS3 version of Portal 2 includes? Comment your opinion below.
