Sony has announced via its PlayStation Blog, that it is set to release nearly 30 stereoscopic 3D games by the end of 2011.
Sony has been pushing 3D content lately with games such as Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, MLB 11: The Show, SOCOM 4: US Navy Seals and Motorstorm: Apocalypse all going to be released in stereoscopic 3D. Sony has also claims that 20% of single player downloads of Killzone 3 in 3D.
Games aren’t the only thing getting the 3D treatment either. A ton of upcoming Blu-ray films will be in 3D and even Sports Illustrated is in eye-popping 3D. Downloads of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2011: The 3-D Experience Exclusive Sneak Peek hit the 83,000 mark in just one short week!
Still, in order to view content in 3D you must have a 3DTV and glasses.
