Call of Duty: Black Ops on the PlayStation 3 has today received another patch version 1.05. While what this patch does hasn’t officially been announced many have jumped to the conclusion that it fixes the matchmaking which was truly hampered by v1.04.
The patch is only 27MB so don’t expect masses of change but most likely the matchmaking and the odd glitch or hack has been sorted out or at least an attempt has been made.
Personally I found once on multiplayer I experienced slightly less lag and managed to jump almost straight into a game, which was a pleasant surprise, have you experienced this too or has the patch failed to fix the issues?
Below is the official log of the fixes that players can expect:
12/22 (full patch 1.05)
* • Improved party reliability when leaving with party – an additional step in an ongoing series of party improvements continued in the next patch
* • Improved UPnP functionality – further expands the game’s capability to open NATs on routers with universal plug and play enabled
* • Enabled mute functionality in Playercards in the pre-game lobby
* • Enabled kick functionality in party and private match lobbies
* • Addressed an issue where the pre-game lobby would not always display properly when multiple players leave the lobby after a team split
* • Addressed an issue where the pre-game lobby would appear stuck on the countdown timer while waiting to balance teams

December 22, 2010 at 12:54 PMNot sure what to make of this patch. I looked at a dozen of places and there are 10 negative responses to 1 positive one.
Got to say though, unlike Infinity Ward, Treyarch is trying. So far no success, but they are trying.
