The recent release of the USB device called the PSJailbreak is controversial no doubt and Sony could ban users from the PSN if players are detected using one.
The PSJailberak USB device reportedly allows you to back up and run games from the PS3’s hard drive. This means you could play games for free using the device. But Sony is aware of this and is apparently able to detect and ban any users from the PlayStation Network if they are caught using said device.
Although Sony is to issue an official statement on this it’s being reported the company is working on a new firmware update that will prevent the device from working thus solving this problem altogether and further combating against piracy in the video game industry.
