Sony announced earlier at E3 a special surround sound system made specifically for the PlayStation 3. Now, a release date for it has just been announced.
Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ) announced today that the Surround Sound System for PS3 will be released in Japan on September 30, 2010. Details of its release in other territories have not been released yet but we’ll do our best to keep you informed.
The Surround Sound System for PS3 will be retailing at 19,800 yen, which is around $199.
