It’s good day for fans of Namco’s massive RPG franchise. Fan translation group Absolute Zero recently released version 1.0 of the translation patch for Tales of Innocence, which never saw an official release outside of Japan.
The story is the generic RPG plot of people with special skills rising up against a great evil, etc., but the Tales series has a massive cult following, and, having played one or two, I can say that cult is well earned, as the Tales games are absorbing and addicting. And Innocence is sure to be no different.
You can download translation patch here. Although, if you want to play the game legally, you’ll have to go through the long process of importing the game, getting a ROM dumping device, dumping the ROM onto a computer, adding the patch, then uploading the ROM and patch to a DS flash cart, which would certainly cost you upwards of one hundred big ones. Ah well…
