For those wishing MotorStorm Apocalypse is in 3D, you’ll be disappointed to hear at release the game won’t. While the lead designer stated “We haven’t announced anything yet about 3D,” Evolution Studios’ explains although there’s “no 3D right now it’s something we can talk about at a later date”. With Sony pushing for 3D enabled games on their console does it strike a blow? Not completely as they certainly haven’t as of yet ruled it out.
Slated for a 2011 MotorStorm Apocalypse has been in development for over two years. The developers let slip the title was started alongside Pacific Rift, with this extra time they have managed to squeeze more into the game without cutting anything back but not 3D.
Despite the fact that the game will not release in 3D, the title will most likely receive it. One of the first titles to feature 3D is a demo of the previous MotorStorm game Pacific Rift. With this in mind the company is already using the 3D technology certainly see no reason that Apocalypse won’t see 3D in the future.
