Another big revelation from Nintendo in this year’s E3 is the Nintendo 3DS’ online features. With new online features being pushed to the handheld, Nintendo confirmed that the 3DS will not have any monthly fees for its online features.
When the Nintendo 3DS releases this Holiday 2010, the handheld will have online capabilities similar to what the PSP has. The upcoming online functions of the 3DS will allow gamers not to only play online but there will be things that will be made available such as downloadable content. It is still not confirmed whether the Nintendo 3DS will be using the same store front of the DSi or it will have a new store solely for the Nintendo 3DS. Remember, the 3DS is not another DS but a successor to the successful DS.
We have seen PS2 games coming on the Nintendo 3DS. With games such as this, Nintendo 3DS could be the handheld that will be pushing its limit just to compete with the PSP’s feature in terms of graphics, hardware, and the online gameplay. Check back with us in the coming weeks for more detailed information for the Nintendo 3DS.

3DS
June 17, 2010 at 4:32 AMI would not buya 3DS if i had to pay monthly fees. and one of the reasons i love DS’s in general,is the fun aspect. the pick it up and play. i dont want the 3DS to be too complicated, many smaller children play the DS systems, and i fear that those children would not understand a 3DS. Nintendo is apealling to a different crowd now. I think that nintendo should point out the fact that many smaller children should stick to their DSi’s and DSlites. I look forward to this release, though.
