Black Tango Down is Ignition Entertainment’s first person shooter that will only be available via digital distribution on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. With so many first person shooter games coming out this Fall on the next-generation consoles, Black Tango Down is something fans of the genre should look forward to as the game will be retailing at the low price of $14.99. On the show floor, Black Tango Down was one of the demos that Ignition Entertainment had and, of course, I went ahead and gave it try.
The demo on the showfloor was actually a multiplayer hosted via LAN. I played the PlayStation 3 version and as far as how the controls go, it was similar to other first person shooter games out there like Modern Warfare 2. The graphics are pretty decent for a downloadable title. I got to play with four people from the media and the mode that we played was a Deathmatch. In the final version of the game, players can expect 12 maps and up to 4-player online co-op.
At a price of $14.99, it is cheap and is something to look forward to for fans out there wanting to take a break from Modern Warfare 2. Black Tango Down releases this Summer on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Check back with us for our review of the game in the coming weeks.
