TAITO Corporation announced this week the release of its MORITA SHOGI HD App for iPad on the App Store. The app, based on a Japanese chess simulation game, has been specially optimized to take full advantage of iPad’s high quality display and innovative Multi-Touch user interface.
MORITA SHOGI HD features the famed Morita Logic engine designed by Kazurou Morita, winner of the World Computer Shogi Championship. This unparalleled engine allows the opponent in the app to respond to the player’s every move in a wide variety of ways, resulting in a challenging and authentic Japanese chess experience. Match difficulty settings may also be fine-tuned to suit all levels of player experience–from neophyte to expert–making the game both enjoyable and approachable.
Released into a lot of consoles and devices, playing Chess has never been easier now that Morita Shogi is on the iPad in the brilliant HD screen. Morita Shogi HD is the first App of Square-Enix for the iPad; we should expect more to come such as the; Final Fantasy I & II port version that was recently released on the iPhone.
