A recent glitch was found in God Of War III that lets you acquire and max out all weapons at the beginning of a new game instead of waiting to unlock them. It also allows you to open certain paths before you even have those weapons to unblock them. There has been one reported crash however when this was done. You still have the ability to unlock trophies with this glitch as well. Use it if you like but trust me it is much more rewarding to receive the platinum the old fashioned way: through hard work and a case of Red Bull.
Here are the steps in order to perform this glitch:
1. Unlock Combat Arena by beating the story once and then clearing the Challenges of Olympus mode.
2. In the Combat Arena option screen, set Kratos’ Health to “Level 1” and difficulty to “Titan.” Set up the Enemies option with creatures that can kill you quickly and start the battle.
3. In the Combat Arena, die five times in a row and the game will prompt you to switch to Easy mode. Select “No” to exit to the main menu.
4. You should hear two different music tracks playing over each other. Furthermore, the Maxed Out! trophy will be unlocked if you didn’t already have it. From the main menu, select “New Game” and the difficulty of your choice to activate the glitch
No word yet whether there is a patch on it’s way or already out at the time of this post but I would not be surprised if one surfaced soon. I am sure Santa Monica would want players to work for their earnings.
