En Masse Entertainment announced this morning that the popular action MMO, TERA, will be going free-to-play sometime next month.
MMO gamers who are not fond of The Old Republic’s free-to-play content restriction will be pleased to hear that TERA will not have any of those. When the free-to-play service launches this February, the game will give players flexibility on how they want to enjoy the game as there’s no level cap or content restriction. Current or past subscribers will receive a founder status with exclusive privileges. While the game is free-to-play, any player will have an option to purchase an ‘elite status’ which has a lot of benefits for $14.99 a month.
In addition to the free-to-play announcement, TERA will be receiving a brand new content as well that includes new PvP battlegrounds, dungeons and many more. For more information on the new free-to-play service, check out TERA’s Official FAQ.
