Nvidia has unveiled its own handheld gaming device at the company’s CES press conference earlier today.
It’s code-named the Nvidia “Shield” and the device has between 5 – 10 hours of battery life, runs on Android and has a touch screen. It has a clamshell-like design like Nintendo’s DS consoles, although there is only one screen at not two.
The “Shield” also has a microSD slot, USB and HDMI output and the 5 inch screen is able to output 720p.
Unlike most other Android-based devices out there, the “Shield” has actual controls. Everything you would see from a console controller is here such as face buttons, two analog sticks and a d-pad too.
Sadly, no release date or price has been revealed for the device as of yet. Hopefully it’s released sometime later this year though.
