As many of you know, the current fat model PS3 not only allows for a larger(or smaller if you roll like that) HDD to be installed into the system. Well, Sony confirmed that installing and running a separate OS will be a feature missing from the new model.
In the official press release it says “users will not be able to install other Operating Systems to the new PS3 system.” So all of you planning to run Linux will either have to buy a faty PS3 now while they’re still available, or consider yourselves officially out of luck.
