Sony Computer Entertainment has plans to acquire the cloud gaming service Gaikai for $380 million.
Sony Computer Entertainment president Andrew House said that the new cloud service will allow users to “instantly enjoy a broad array of content ranging from immersive core games with rich graphics to casual content anytime, anywhere on a variety of internet-connected devices.”
Since Sony can focus on cloud gaming, it’s rumored that it can be used to stream PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 games via the service.
What does this mean for the future of gaming and the development of PS4? What are your thought on this?
