Nintendo head Satoru Iwata has announced during an investors and shareholders meeting that online services for the Wii U will be free.
Itawa has no problems with subscription based paid services, but he feels that having it isn’t the best option for Nintendo’s MiiVerse service.
Instead, he feels free online services will be the best approach as this would result in strong word of mouth for Nintendo. As a result of this, it would leader to greater hardware and software sales.
The Nintendo Wii U should be out before the end of 2012.
