Naughty Dog’s upcoming survival action adventure game, The Last of Us, will feature multiplayer that isn’t campaign co-op. This means that the main story of the game will be single-player only as revealed by Creative Director Neil Druckmann in an interview with Gaming Examiner.
“We are supporting multiplayer with the Last of Us” said Druckmann. “We’re not ready to talk about the details of how multiplayer will be implemented, however we can say that it is not co-op within the main campaign.”
Druckmann also revealed that while players can take multiple paths in the game, there will be one definitive conclusion to the game’s narrative arc. The Last of Us is set to be released sometime in 2013.
