Toy Soldiers: Cold War was released last year to much critical acclaim. Over 1 million people downloaded the game and it’s still one of the bets selling XBLA games of all time. Signal Studios has now revealed a PC version and DLC is on its way.
The PC version of the game will be available from April 24th to download via Steam and Games for Windows LIVE Marketplace. The The Kaiser’s Battle and Invasion! DLC packs will be included for free.
If you purchase the game on Steam in the first week, you get a 25% price discount.
“We are thrilled to bring all of the action and fun of Toy Soldiers to PC gamers,” said Jason Ilano, Game Director for the Toy Soldiers franchise at Signal Studios. “With intuitive mouse and keyboard controls, as well as full gamepad support, the PC version of Toy Soldiers gives the audience the most ways to play.”
Toy Soldiers PC features:
• Toy Battles: Play 30 missions in the Allied, Central, Kaiser’s Battle, and Invasion! campaigns and lead your Toy Soldiers to victory!
• Arsenal of Weapons: Command over 50 controllable units including Machine Guns, Howitzers, Tanks, Fighter Planes and Bombers.
• Miniaturized Mayhem: Unique game visuals and post-effects capture the imagination and provide real world historical events in a playful, toy-like miniature world.
• Endless Action: Four “Survival” levels test your mettle against waves of endless enemies.
• Bragging Rights: 24 Achievements to add up to 400 points to your Xbox LIVE gamerscore. Ration Tickets provide secondary objectives on every campaign level.

August 23, 2012 at 11:24 AMFix the damn title, COLD WAR hasn’t been released on PC, and it’s not looking like it ever will be. Signal Studios will neither confirm nor deny it. I for one won’t be left hanging on their forums anymore waiting for an answer, when chances are they’ll turn around and say it isn’t coming! Why they even bothered with PC gamers in the first place is beyond me…
