EA’s Need for Speed series has been fuelling the adrenaline of car junkies ever since the first game came out in 1994. Now, the famous racing video game franchise is being turned into a movie.
The movie is planned to be a “Fast & Furious” style of movie with Real Steel’s John Gatins pencilled in to write the script. Paramount, Sony and Warner Bros. are the major movie studios interested in acquiring the rights to the movie at the moment.
Fast Five was released last year and earned over $600 million at the box office. A “Need for Speed” movie could also be popular if the script is written well and if they are able to acquire well-known actors to the project.
